Four Bridges Challenge

The First FKT Project.

In May, 2020 we posed a question to New York runners — how fast could someone climb the four iconic NYC bridges (Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg, Queensboro) in a single run. We didn’t create any proscribed route and let the runners figure out best to tackle the challenge. However after four weeks, a clear route was established and after Brendan Martin went out and dropped an incredible 1:11:15 on the 14 mile route, a new line was drawn in the sand. However FKTs are never owned and can always been taken away. The Four Bridges are still there and the FKT is still up for grabs.
