THe Trail 5k
The Trail Fest 5k will start at 6:30pm from the Ross Dock Picnic Area. The course will contain one significant uphill and one significant downhill. It’s the perfect challenge for anyone looking to dip their toes into trail running for the first time, or for anyone who wants to keep things shorter and faster!
The 5k will follow this route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3170494686757181848
** Please note that the 5k route is closer to 4 miles.
Runners will start at the Ross Dock Picnic Area and will almost immediately head up a large hill that will take them up to the Long Path. This first mile is tough and the climb involves some large stone steps that can be tricky to run at spots. At the top of the climb, runners will turn right and take the Long Path for the next 1.5 miles. This is a nice rolling trail. Around mile 2.5 they will drop back down to the river. At the bottom of the hill runners will get on a dirt trail and take that all the way back to the finish. It’s a flat fast final mile. Check out the video below for a more detailed look.
Additional 5k Information
We will continue to share additional information about the race here in the coming weeks. In the meantime if you have any questions, please email cooper@trialsofmilesracing.com.
