THe Trail10k
The Trail Fest 10k will start at 6:00pm from Alpine Marina. Runners will be required to check-in before 5:00pm at the Ross Dock Picnic area (where the race will finish), and will be bused to the starting line. It will take roughly 15-20 minutes to arrive at Alpine Marina.
The 10k will follow this route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3146576851978874888
** Please note that the 10k route is closer to 7 miles.
Runners will start at Alpine Marina and head south on the Shore Path, until they hit the Huylers Beach climb. They will then climb up around 400 feet all the way up to the Long Path. At the top of the climb runners will continue South back towards Ross Dock for the next 3 1/2 miles. There is one large downhill about 1.5 miles before the finish and the final mile is a dirt path perfect for kicking it in. Check out the video below for a better idea of what to expect.
Additional 10k Information
We will continue to share additional information about the race here in the coming weeks. In the meantime if you have any questions, please email cooper@trialsofmilesracing.com.

Runners are required to be off of the trails by 8:30pm (the approximate time of sunset). Accordingly, runners will have 2 1/2 hours to complete the 10k distance. Please note that because this race is on trails, runners should assume this race may take them 30+ minutes longer than a typical 10k would take them on the roads.
-
All 10k runners are required to take the bus from Ross Dock (where the race finishes) to the starting line at Alpine Marina. We do not want cars parking at Alpine Marina! All runners must meet at Ross Dock, where they must be checked-in for the race before 5pm. Buses will leave around 5:15pm.

10k runners will encounter one aid station at Green Brook Road, around mile 2.7. This is an opportunity to get some water and light snacks after the long climb to the Long Path. There will also be a water jugs located at mile 5.5 (just before the long downhill). Runners are encouraged to carry water especially if it is a hot day.

Yes. There will be a bag check for the 10k runners so you can drop stuff that will be waiting for you when you arrive back at the finish line.
