The Biggest Race in Eugene

During the week of the Olympic Trials we teamed up with our friends at New Generation Track and Field to give the people in Eugene a racing challenge. The Trials Loop FKT was a 3.6 mile loop along the river and the goal was to see how fast it could be done. Over 50+ people attempted the loop and the top times can be found below.

Challenge Details

Dates: The challenge began on June 12 and ended on June 27.

The Course: The 3.6 mile course starts and ends on the south side of the Peter Defazio Pedestrian Bridge (see the attached image). Runners will start the loop by crossing the bridge and immediately turning left. They will then proceed underneath Coburg Rd and will follow the bike path for approximately 1.5 miles. Runners will then cross the Greenway Pedestrian bridge, and will make an immediate left. After crossing back onto the south side of the river, runners will follow the bike path (hugging the river) all the way back to the starting line.
