  • Open Sections

This meet will have “Open” sections of the 800m and mile that are open to runners of all ages and ability levels. There will also be men’s and women’s heats of the 5000m with 16:45 and 18:45 time standards.

  • High School Miles & 800s

We will be offering sections of the High School 800m and mile that are NFHS sanctioned for athletes of all ability level. There will also be seeded sections of these events in which all athletes will receive a custom New Balance kit. The cut-off for these seeded sections last year were approximately 1:54 and 2:11 for the 800’s and 4:13 and 4:56 for the 1 mile. All high school athletes should signup on MileSplit here.

NOTE: The seeded high school sections will operate under USATF rules.

  • Seeded & OTQ Sections

There will also be seeded races at end of the program, with the final heats specifically designed for athletes looking to chase the 2024 OTQ times in the 1500m, 800m, and Steeplechase. (There will be multiple “seeded” sections in the 800m and 1500m.) The standards for these seeded sections can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions section below.

Frequently asked questions

  • Registration is now closed.

  • You should plan to arrive at the stadium at least an hour before your scheduled race time. Check-in will be at the North end of the stadium. Upon check-in, athletes will receive two hip numbers (these will go on your right hip and right chest), a bib, and a red bracelet (which will allow you to enter the track and grandstand after your race). Athletes can enter the track through the athletes entrance, roughly 15-20 minutes before the start of their race.

  • Concessions will be open at Icahn Stadium for athletes who may be running in the unseeded sections and want to hang around to watch the seeded high school and open races. They typically have BBQ style options (burgers, hot dogs, pizza etc).

  • Icahn Stadium is located on Randall’s Island in New York City. The address is 10 Central Rd. NY, NY. For those who will be driving or coming to Icahn via a school bus, there is plenty of parking available.
